Penrose Property Management Ltd is owned by David and Tracey Penrose. We are passionate about managing commercial property as we live and breath it. Our company is based in Nelson and manages a portfolio of properties throughout New Zealand worth over $75 million. We own commercial property ourselves, manage commercial property for independent owners and manage syndicates for investors who own a commercial property syndicate. We value the trust our clients have put in us to take care of their investment.

Born in Christchurch, David first worked on South Otago dairy farms before transferring his interests to property which saw him working on building sites in Christchurch in the 1980's for a few years. He then returned to university where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Lincoln University, majoring in Valuation and Property Management. David has over twenty years experience managing commercial property. He is very experienced at renovating property and was involved with the demolition and re-building of a commercial property in Christchurch following the 2011 earthquake. Project Managing the re-build has given David valuable skills which he is happy to put to use if you want some advice on your "earthquake prone" property.
David is a senior member of the Property Institute of New Zealand, a member of the Directors Institute of New Zealand and is licenced under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.
Tracey, Nelson born, started her career working for Guardian Trust here in Nelson for a few years before transferring to Christchurch to work for Public Trust as an Estate Officer. After taking time out to raise our three children, she returned to work part time as the manager of a couple of local storage facilties. She has been involved in the renovation and management of our own property and now works with David in the office taking care of the accounting and administration for the commercial properties.
Tracey's sister Lisa, also Nelson born, has worked in the hospitality sector for twenty years while also raising her three children. Lisa joined the team at Penrose Property Management in 2013 and has quickly adapted to life in the office. Lisa specialises in building relationships with our tenants and contractors who work on the properties we manage as well as the all important invoice paying contact.
Robin's role with Penrose Property Management has revolved around establishing property syndicate's for us to manage and working with us as a business advisor. He has over thirty years experience working as either an accountant or business mentor for local and national businesses. Robin is a director of Robin Whalley and Associates Ltd.
